Our Multiband Ligator is sold under the brand name of Shafi Enterprises. We have branded it as FLASH Multiband Ligator (FMBL). FMBL is intended for use in endoscopic ligation of esophageal varices in both adult and pediatric patients.

We care for our clients and strive to meet the highest possible standards of international quality and reliabilty. Having said that we draw your attention to some of the aspects of the products which you should know about.

contraindications :

• Any condition which otherwise contraindicates routine gastrointestinal endoscopy
• Age less than 4 years
• Untreated Bleeding Disorders
• Fundal or Gastric Varices

• Pharyngeal or esophageal narrowing/stricture
• Suspected or known esophageal perforation

Potential complications :

Potential complication includes; those associated with the endoscopic procedure itself, and those specific to band ligation of varices. The former includes, but are not limited to; trauma to upper gastrointestinal tract leading to hemorrhage or perforation, aspiration, cardiac arrythmias, respiratory depression or arrest, allergix reaction to medication, irritation in throat are infections.

The laster includes, but are not limited to; laryngeopharnyngeal laceration, retrosternal pain, and esopphageal perforation. Striucture foramtion may occur later, especially with repeated procedures.

CAutions :

The Flash Multi Band Ligator (FMBL) should only be used by the physicians throroughly trained for therapeutic endoscopy, especially variceal banding. Prior routine endoscopic examination is recommended to confirm the need of variceal band ligation and to check the anatomy and pathalogy of gastrointestinal tract.

Elastic bands my be difficult to apply to very small (grade I) varices. This product contains natural latex rubber which may cause allergic reactions in some individuals.

warnings :

After use the device is a potential biohazard, so it chould be disposed of properly in accordance with the institutional policies.
Improper handling of the endoscope

during the procedure may result in dislodgement of barrel into the lumen if this happens; appropriate actions should be taken to remove it by an expert endoscopist. The recommendations for the endoscopic outer diameter shoud be exactly followed to avoid the dislodgement of the barrel.
